Randy Weber Picks Up More Endorsements as Early Voting Begins

July 23, 2012

League City – With early voting week underway, Randy Weber has picked up two more important Republican Party endorsements. Dr. Robin Armstrong, newly elected RNC National Committeeman and Galveston County GOP Chairman, Barbara Meeks threw their support behind Weber in the Republican Primary Runoff for Congressional District 14.

“Randy Weber is the right choice for Congress. He is a small businessman, and a proven conservative. Randy is a lifelong resident of the gulf coast. He built his business here, met his wife here, and raised his family here. I am proud to support Randy Weber for Congress. He will represent us well and be a leader in the fight to stop Obama’s reckless agenda, and put our country back on the path to prosperity”, said Dr Robin Armstrong.

During the May 29th Republican Primary Election, Galveston County accounted for the largest share of vote among the four counties in Congressional District 14. Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott Endorses Randy Weber for Congress

June 28, 2012

League City – For the Republican primary run-off on July 31st, Attorney General Greg Abbott announced that he is supporting Randy Weber for Congress. “Randy Weber’s experience as a small businessman for over 30 years and as a State Representative has prepared him for the challenging job of turning our country around,” Attorney General Abbott said. “With the Supreme Court playing politics today instead of following the Constitution, we need strong conservative leaders like Randy Weber to de-fund Obamacare and cut off its tentacles before it further damages our economy and bankrupts our county”.

Abbott, one of the original 26 Attorneys General to challenge the constitutionality of President Obama’s Health Care Reform Act, has established an impeccable record of fighting for Texas families and small businesses. “Attorney General Abbott is one of the strongest conservative leaders in our state. I value his opinion and trust his judgment. Above all, I respect the way he goes to work every day to protect the good people of Texas,” Randy Weber said.

With Attorney General Abbott’s endorsement, Randy Weber has built a strong Texas Coalition that also includes Governor Rick Perry, Commissioner of Agriculture Todd Staples, State Comptroller Susan Combs and Congressman Ron Paul.

Weber concluded, “Obamacare, the national debt, economic uncertainty and high unemployment are dragging this great country down. Finger pointing only makes it worse. The Texas model works because it combines common sense with pro-growth conservative ideas. I will fight to bring our Texas values to Congress. I will push to cut spending, balance the budget and jumpstart the economy by lowering taxes, eliminating unnecessary regulations, encouraging business to explore and produce and erasing Obama’s agenda.”

Disappointed. Determined. Ready to Fight!

June 28, 2012

League City – State Representative Randy Weber, candidate for US Congress, issued the following statement in response to the Supreme Court’s ruling on Obamacare. “I’m extremely disappointed in the Supreme Court’s decision today to uphold Obamacare. The mandate has clearly become Barack Obama’s tax on every American, and I am now more determined than ever to go to fight to repeal Obamacare and put a stop to the onslaught of taxes and mandates that will result in higher premiums, job losses and closed businesses.

I also pledge to continue my efforts to go to Congress and work to replace Obamacare with a solution that provides affordable, quality health care. We can do this without raising taxes or expanding government by using the free market system.

I look forward to listening to the voters on the campaign trail, and with their help, we can achieve this goal and put a stop to the Obama agenda. Together we can end federal overreach, defend state’s rights, and restore our Constitution.”

RON PAUL: “Randy Weber is My Choice for Congress”

June 18, 2012

League City- There may be no stronger compliment than to have the current office holder, the people’s choice; give you their endorsement to succeed them when they leave. Who better to know the difficulties of the job, the complexities associated with the fiscal mess in Washington, and the responsibility of serving over 600,000 constituents on the Gulf Coast? Today, Congressman Ron Paul officially endorsed Randy Weber to fill his seat in Congress and continue the fight to save our country from an overreaching government that is destroying jobs and bankrupting future generations.

Congressman Ron Paul’s statement:
“I am pleased to endorse Randy Weber in the race to succeed me in the Fourteenth District of Texas. Randy is a family man, a man of faith and a man of strong character. It is very important to me that my friends and neighbors receive strong representation from their Congressman and I know that Randy shares a deep commitment to constituent service. The fourteenth district will have a real Champion in Randy Weber.

As a small business owner, Randy understands how excessive regulation and reckless overspending by government is destroying jobs and squeezing our community. Randy Weber will be a strong and consistent voice to get Washington off our backs so we in the Fourteenth District can work and grow.

Randy Weber is my choice for Congress. I hope you will join me and send him to Washington,” said Congressman Ron Paul.

In addition to the endorsement, Congressman Paul has also agreed to promote Weber’s candidacy to his army of supporters across the country. In the next few weeks, Congressman Paul will join Randy on the campaign trail in the district.

“Dr. Paul has led a revolution directed at turning our country around by returning to principles found in the Constitution. He’s traveled coast to coast, speaking to millions of people of all races, ages, backgrounds and philosophies about the urgency of the moment to save our country from fiscal ruin. He’s a father, grandfather, good Doctor and a Patriot. Congressman Paul knows the people of the Gulf Coast are hardworking, honest and deeply concerned about the direction we’re traveling under Obama. I am honored to have his endorsement. I will represent the people of this district with integrity and do my best to get our country back on course,” Randy Weber said.

Texas Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples Endorses Randy Weber for Congress

June 15, 2012

League City – Randy Weber received his second big endorsement from a Republican statewide elected official today. Texas Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples thinks Randy Weber is perfectly suited to take on the crisis in Congress.

“I’ve worked with Randy Weber to strengthen our border security. I’ve worked with him to reduce the size of government. In just three years in the Texas House, Randy Weber has proven that he cannot not only fight for our conservative principles, but he wins those fights for Texas families and businesses,” Staples said.

Commissioner Staples joins Governor Rick Perry and other state leaders as part of the Texas team for Randy Weber for Congress.

“Leaders like Todd Staples know that our country is at a crossroads. He is doing a tremendous job for the people of Texas in spite of Washington. I am honored to have his support and will do my best to repeal Obama’s destructive agenda, cut wasteful spending and help our businesses create good paying American jobs that will put people back to work so they can invest in their future,” Weber said.

Texas Comptroller Susan Combs Endorses Republican Randy Weber For Congress

June 15, 2012

League City- Fiscally conservative, forward-thinking, and a leader in making state government more transparent for the taxpayers, Texas Comptroller Susan Combs has found a candidate for Congress that she trusts will work to get the country back on a solid path towards prosperity. Susan Combs has officially endorsed Republican Randy Weber for Congress heading into the July 31st runoff election.

“President Obama’s inexperience and liberalism are bankrupting the country and destroying jobs. This disastrous combination threatens the American Dream. It requires that we send the strongest conservatives to Congress to repair the damage before it’s too late. Randy Weber has the conservative backbone to stop the Obama agenda from bankrupting our country,” said Combs.

In the May 29th primary, Randy Weber finished first, well ahead of the other eight candidates. His record as a small businessman and effective state representative for two terms, where he has earned high marks from several fiscal and social conservative organizations, helped solidify his reputation as someone constituents can count on to look after their tax dollars and protect their Texas values.

“I am honored to have the endorsement of Comptroller Susan Combs. She is a fiscal hawk dedicated to protecting taxpayers and a reform-minded public servant who has done an incredible job of using technology to make state government more accountable, open and honest. She is taking Texas in the right direction,” Randy Weber said.
