A statement from Congressman-Elect Randy Weber

League City– Tonight, Republican candidate Randy Weber was declared the victor in Congressional District 14.

“Over the past 15 months I’ve been traveling this great district on the Gulf Coast. I’m deeply honored that voters have chosen me to be their voice in Congress. I will serve my constituents with integrity and full respect for the office and what it represents. I will fight to build a stronger America for our children and grandchildren, it’s the reason why I entered public service.”

“I could not have pulled this off without my family, friends and my unwavering supporters. They helped me reach victory and I want to say thank you for the time and energy you invested in my campaign by making phone calls, going door to door and sharing my message with your friends, families and coworkers.”

“Tonight, the voters said they wanted to go in a direction that will put our country on the right track and restore conservative principles to Washington. That is what I will do, we will do it together.”

“Finally, I want to tell the supporters of Nick Lampson that I will work to earn your trust as well. Our love of country, of Texas and of the Gulf Coast are three important areas of agreement. Let’s build from that. I also want to congratulate Nick on running a strong campaign and I appreciate his willingness to offer himself up for public service.”

“Again, thank you for being here tonight, six months ago during the primary, a year ago when I announced and for being part of this great journey. Tomorrow, I go to work for you.”
