“America’s Toughest Sheriff,” Joe Arpaio, Endorses Randy Weber for Congress

February 14, 2012

League City- Maricopa County Sheriff (AZ), Joseph Arpaio, a man many have hailed as “America’s Toughest Sheriff” for his no-nonsense policies towards running a disciplined prison and his leadership in the fight against illegal immigration, has endorsed State Representative Randy Weber, Republican candidate for Congress (TX-14). “Randy has the steel backbone and conservative principles we desperately need in Congress. He’s a good husband and father, small businessman and effective legislator. He’ll fight to protect our borders, defend our values and make America stronger. He’s already done it in Texas,” Sheriff Arpaio stated.

As Vice Chair of the Border and Intergovernmental Affairs Committee and the author of landmark legislation combating human trafficking, Randy Weber has a proven record of standing up for the law enforcement professionals who put their lives on the line to keep our communities safe, our laws followed and human life protected. 75% of the language Randy Weber has authored in the area of human trafficking has become law. For his legislative record on this issue and many others, Randy Weber earned the Courageous Conservative Award from the Texas Conservative Coalition and the Taxpayer’s Hero Award from Texans for Fiscal Responsibility.

“There’s a mutual respect for Sheriff Arpaio. I have come to admire the way he sticks to his convictions even in the face of the strong headwinds of political correctness. He has one of the toughest jobs in America and it requires someone with his unique leadership skills. But, you don’t have to take my word for it- he’s been re-elected 4 times. I am honored to have his endorsement and I look forward to earning the endorsement of all the voters in the 14th district,” Randy Weber concluded.
